In its role of promoting conditions which are favourable to a sustainable and stable family life, the Mothers' Union of the Anglican Church of Tanzania established the Mtumba Rural Women's Training Centre (MRWTC) in 1998. The aim was to raise the consciousness of women towards development.

Our Vision  is a socially and economically advanced society where people (men and women) live in peace, love and harmony and effectively and equitably participate and enjoy the fruits of activities aimed at the further improvement of their socio-economic welfare.

Our Mission is to empower rural women and the community through training so that they can effectively participate in analyzing their development problems and solving them through their own concerted efforts.

Problems which we are addressing

bulletThere are severe food shortages in the area.  The food crops are maize and sorghum.
